Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh:

Dr. Vijay Satbir Singh joined as the Member of the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) in july, 2017. Prior to that, he was the Additional Chief Secretary with the Government of Maharashtra. He has served in many departments as an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). Some important postings include CEO-Zilla parishad Nanded, Collector-Amravati. Additional Commissioner-Sales Tax, Joint MD-CIDCO, Vice chairman MSRTC, MD-MSSIDC and project manager world bank aided health project. He pioneerd several reforms in public administration, such as, computer based allotment of plots for project affected people, micro-finance to the women self-help groups, cashless payment of empluments, and innovative scheme for malnourished children. He is a strong believer in less government and more governance. Recently, In the Home Department, he slmpllfied many procedures and permissions to promote the ease of doing business.

Dr. Singh completed his graduation in medicine (MBBS) before joining civil service in 1984. Besides, his learnings also include MA (Economics) from the Instute for Development Policy and Management (IDPM) University of Manchester (UK), and many Executive Education courses in public administration at the Harvard Kennedy school and Maxwell school of public Administration syracuse (USA). He has attended several national and International COnferences and workshops on public administration, health reforms, real estate, management, and operations and logistics. He takes keen interest in environmental issues and was awarded the certificate of proficiency and distinction for his commitment to the cause of sustainable development by SDSN, a UN initiative headed by Mr. Jeffrey Sachs
