Regional and Local Branches of the IIPA have been established in most of the states including Maharashtra. One can become the life member of IIPA by making payment of Rs. 7000/- (one time) and annual / ordinary member by payment of Rs. 700/- every year. - The Branch organises every year Late Shri B. G. Deshmukh Essay Competition which is open to all.
- Conducts Studies for Government Departments, Public Undertakings and Local Authorities.
- The branch also organises every year an Annual Conference on the theme suggested by the Central IIPA.
- The branch organises "Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial Lecture" every year, which is a prestigious activity of our branch. The Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan and the branch have entered in to an agreement to hold a lecture under joint auspices of the IIPA and the Pratishthan since 1996-97 for which the Pratishthan provides grant and rent free use of its auditorium.
- Late shri B. G. Deshmukh, IAS, former Cabinet Secretary and Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India had donated Rs. 10 lakhs to the Maharashtra Regional Branch by expressing desire that the amount may be kept as a corpus fund and annual interest accrued on this donation may be used for arranging lecture and essay competition by his name. The fund has been invested in F. D. with the HDFC Ltd. for a period of 5 years @ rate of 8% p.a.
